Frequently asked questions.

How do I book an appointment?

All of our appointments are self-booked through our booking portal. When you click the “book a visit” button, it will redirect to our HIPPA-compliant patient portal where you can schedule in-person or telehealth visits!

Do you accept insurance?

No. Insurance can limit your ability to receive the person-focused, comprehensive care that you deserve. Therefore, the focus is on you getting the time and care YOU need, without the insurance restrictions.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept debit/credit card, Zelle, or personal checks. A credit card is required at the time of scheduling to hold the appointment.

Do you see patients virtually/via telehealth?

Yes, most of the services offered are well-suited for virtual visits/telehealth. Telehealth visits give you access to expert care with no travel time or sitting in a waiting room. Many women find this approach convenient and efficient as lab work and imaging can be ordered for you to obtain at your nearest lab/imaging facility.

What is a Midwife?

Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) are licensed, independent health care providers with prescriptive authority in all 50 states. CNMs are defined as primary care providers under federal law.

The word ‘midwife’ is derived from Old English ‘mid’ (“with”) and ‘wif’ (“woman”), thus meaning "with woman”.

CNMs can practice independently, collaborating or consulting with physicians and specialists as needed. We are trained to provide women’s healthcare throughout the lifespan from adolescence through menopause, in addition to prenatal care and delivering babies. We can order labs and imaging and prescribe medications that are appropriate to the care that we provide, including contraceptives, antibiotics, bioidentical hormones, and most other medications.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the visit.

What if I don’t attend the appointment or cancel at the last minute?

If you cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment or do not attend the appointment, you will be assessed a no show fee.
